As a global leader in the Sharing Economy, she is the author of an annual report called What we know about the Global Sharing Economy which aggregates data from around the world on the Sharing Economy into one easy-to-read summary. Benita works as a Sharing Economy speaker and consultant across the public, private and voluntary sectors, dedicated to growing the Sharing Economy, enabling people and companies to discover and access it. Her 28-year career spans broadcasting, communications, business development, and entrepreneurship campaigns. She launched two media companies, lived in New York for 8 years, devised and produced award-winning programmes for broadcasters including the BBC, Discovery and Channel 4 and as Head of Global Entrepreneurship at Enterprise UK, led youth-facing global entrepreneurship campaign, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
A recipient of the Nesta Innovation In Giving Fund, she is a seasoned public speaker, has shared a platform with Desmond Tutu at the One Young World Congress, been invited to Number 10 Downing Street to present her work on the Sharing Economy.
